the Dog Days of Summer

Okay, back to that party from June (yes, still scrapping those hundreds of photos).  I knew with the busyness of the night I would need someone else taking pictures.  So I recruited my sweet friend Carin, who in turn recruited her sweet hubby, Luke.

There was one photo that was just the cutest little moment captured in print.  We had some challenges at Willowtraders this week and the challenge was to use a 'themed' paper and create a layout that had nothing to do with the theme.  I admit, I was a little stumped.  More than a little.  But at a crop Rebecca gave me an idea and this layout was born from that.  The themed paper and embellies are dogs & bones, but this sweet little girl was just taking a break from the heat.  Hence, the Dog Days of Summer.  And I love how it turned out!

Max & Whiskers paper and embellishments & a sketch from Sketch Inspirations.

Your layout is adorable! and what a cute photo. I used my Max and Whiskers for a non pet themed layout for that challenge, too!
