Picnic's

I love them!  Whether we are eating in our own yard, whether we pack sandwiches, chips & pop and are on a trip somewhere fun, or just grabbing KFC and eating my the river on a sunny day.

Yesterday we did the latter.  Add some grandparents, kids, sibling, nieces & nephew into the mix and it turns into a regular party!  We had so much fun and who knew that seeing how far down the bluff you can throw a rock could be such entertainment. LOL :)

It made me a teensy anxious for fall.......only for a moment as I'm still enjoying summer...but looking forward to another trip up there in the fall.  Fall is my favorite time of the year and we usually make a couple trips up to this spot overlooking the river for a picnic when the trees are in full color.  It's beyond gorgeous.

Although it's very remote, I love that it has a harder surface to roll a wheelchair on to get to the overlook platform.  With two family members using wheelchairs right now I have a new found appreciation for ramps and surfaces that allow every individual to view nature at it's best.
