*sigh*
Sometimes it works perfectly. Other times not. When it works, we love it. When it doesn't...well we don't post much. ;)
For some reason my image options in blogger no longer give me access to my photos on my computer. So then we must upload them to another site, and just that extra step makes me not post. Silly, but true. It seems like such a pain!
I'm hoping to find resolution soon, so if you are aware of the reason for this in blogger, please let me know. Thanks!
Moving on....
This is the latest layout I've done. It's a fun reminder of my friend's birthday celebration that we had in Chicago a few years back. It's titled "Chi-Town Princess" and that's exactly what she was for the weekend.
I was inspired to use my scraps......fun, bright colored scraps of some of my fav papers. I punched & I stitched & I blinged a little too. :) I love getting back to some basic punch shapes....my old set of circles.
Thanks for hanging with me!

Inspiration!
My friend Andi posted a question not too long ago:
It's been over a year since I last scrapped. I want to scrap, but I'm having trouble restarting. I never expected this would be an issue. What would you do to get restarted?
Scrapbooking friends gave a lot of great advice: Start with some recent photos and a sketch. Try a card first. Join a challenge for scrapbooking. Look through some online galleries. Volunteer to make an entire album for someone with a deadline (not really recommended LOL). Look at some of your older albums. Have a baby (definitely inspirational, but I'll leave that one for the younger girls LOL). Paw through your papers & kits...touch it all! :)
So many great ideas! So if you are looking for some challenges try this crop over at Simply Obsessed:

Oh and here's a little peek of something I've created recently:
I saw it on a blog post and wanted to make it right away, but the dimensions were way off. So I quickly grabbed the closest notecard and re-configured everything. I love it!
It has a lid that I was able to use my border punch on, dividers for storing stamps, embellishments for my envelopes and the notecards themselves. It would make a super cute gift, don't you think?

One Year Ago
I was so busy with Wes' graduation and then preparation for his open house. Not just the normal food planning and invites, but praying we could turn a yard of dirt into a lush lawn by then and all the other things that come with building a house. :) Thankfully everything turned out wonderful!
I saw this layout the other night (no, not in an album yet, shame on me) and I just smiled. You know, after all this time I still get such a kick out of looking back at scrapbook pages and the memories they bring to the surface!
Enjoy your weekend and any plans you may have. Remember to take some photos!

What's a Scrapper to Do?
So I have to admit.......I know nothing of Disney's "Camp Rock." (I can tell you all about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from when my boys were little though!). But I do know that if you are looking for some inspiration for scrapbooking you only need to go to Scrapbook Deals 4 U and join the "Camp Rock" challenge.
Here are some of the details:
***Remember, you can play along JUST for fun, or you can play to earn points...either way, you are certain to be inspired, challenged, and hopefully even have a bit of fun over the next few weeks! EVERYONE will earn badges for each challenge they complete!
***Anyone can join in at any time...you can play one challenge or all...there is no minimum requirement. We want this to be fun for everyone!
***Each "Jam Challenge" will be issued on Friday and Due by the following Tuesday at midnight EST. The poll will then be set up and no additional entrants will be allowed into the poll. The polls will be set for 2 days so Please remember to come back and vote! The first Jam will be issued on June 4th, and the Final Jam will be on July 16th.
It begins tomorrow, June 4.......so won't you join me for some scrapping fun?
Here's the thread with lots of details and where you can sign up:

Busy Days!
I cannot believe it's been so long since I've blogged, however I have been plenty busy!
My husband and I celebrated a 25th wedding anniversary...and I love him even more than the day we married. Gotta love that!!!!
We had a wonderful weekend getaway with some super good friends of ours to a resort in northern Michigan.
I had the privelege of serving some amazing women at a week long event. It was such a blessing to be a part of that.
Then a trip...a long, 14 hour trip....to Iowa for DS's college graduation. It was so cool to see him achieve his degree in Engineering and see him present his senior project. We also got to enjoy his choir concert while we were there. It was WINDY (Chicago's got nothing on Iowa there!), but we still had a wonderful time!
Throw lots of other things in the mix and you'll know why I feel like I'm finally getting back on track!
The best part of coming home? Having FUN, scrap-filled goody boxes waiting for me!!!!
One of them was this:

Isn't it fun?! Lara just posted pictures of the next kit for June too. You can see them and order them here: www.scrapbooksussies.com The June kit pictures are under the "sneak peeks" tab.
Enjoy!
