You know it's a great trip when the toughest decision is....Ocean or Pool? This is a fantastic memory of a trip with my friends for my 40th bday that I made with Imaginisce products from my Scrapbook Sussie June Kit.
I also used the above July Sketch from Imaginisce Blog for my inspiration.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner....
I heard that the other day and just cracked up. Do you ever hear things from your childhood that you used to say and just smile when you hear it? I love stuff like that.
Well it's been a great week for me this week. A super busy one, that's for sure and not much actual scrapping...although I did go to a Stampin' Up Open House and saw all the new stuff and made some really fun little projects.
I love reading blogs and love the inspiration that I find on them. And the occasional giveaways are always a bonus. With CHA just around the corner, there are giveaways galore right now. In fact, I have been fortunate enough to win a few.
One was by Sarah...some Imaginisce loot: here. She is super creative and I'm definitely keeping her on my blog reader.
Then there are the new reveals by Bella Blvd...and I won this one: here I REALLY love the Mid-Term Collection (thank you Stephanie!!!!).
And I did a blog hop for a newish kit company Midnight Rooster (don't you LOVE that name??). They have a terrific design team and the kits are definitely drool-worthy. This is what I won: here It's a mini kit....not quite as packed as their fantastic kits, but it will give me a great taste of how they put a kit together. I can't wait! :)
I used a Scrapbook Sussies kit for this.....and who says you can't add bling on a guy page? ;) I found this random photo in some stuff of my dad's and I think it's a fun picture of my hubby.

Fashion
No matter how cool it is now, we will be laughin' about it later....I promise! I found some fun old photos and incorporated them into a challenge I did. I used my Sussie Kit from May for this:
Fashion Found some old photos from the 80's the other day. :) How fun(ny)!
Journaling reads: These photos are just too funny! Back when I was 16 years old.
Visit to Aunt Faith & Uncle Bill's. Apparently I had a lot of polo shirts and crew neck sweaters. You can't tell but the jeans in the bottom photo are died purple!

The Beginning of Forever
This layout was created for a sketch challenge over at Memorable Seasons (my fav place to shop...tell Jill I sent you).
It reads:
Even though you are my youngest son, your graduation does not seem like an ending to me...it's a new beginning. You've wanted to be a farmer like your daddy ever since you were big enough to push your toy John Deere tractors around & take rides on the big John Deere with him.
You are living your little boy dreams. Way to go!

Sketches
Do you love them as much as I do? It seems so easy to grab some photos, my latest scrapbook kit & a sketch and get something done. I love it!
Becky Fleck has a site for her PageMaps (sketches) & often has challenges. I hadn't participated before, but I gave it a try and this is what I did:
I've titled it The Mom Factor. Journaling reads: We met together once a week and prayed them through school. Ella is one of my fellow moms from Moms In Touch. Graduation 2009

It's the Little Things in Life...
That make life better. :) Like AC on a hot, humid Michigan day. And people like the amazing Wilna who came to my rescue about posting photos on my blog. I *heart* Wilna! She is the amazing designer of my blog header and taught a fantastic class over at her online site Little Light Studios, where they offer all kinds of classes (like the one I took....Bling Out Your Blog) & digi products. Thank you Wilna!!!
Now I can post things like this again:
This is a layout I did for a challenge recently. It makes me smile everytime when I remember being in Texas with my girlfriends for my birthday. What happens when you are in a gift shop and are wearing a pink sweatshirt? They put a pink cowboy hat on you....of course. ;)
