Frosted Designs

Does anyone remember the slogan from the movie 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days'...Ladies, Frost Yourselves?  It was Matthew McConaughy's slogan for a diamond company or some such thing, but it was meant as that thing that makes something just a little more special.

So 'Frosted Designs' challenge blog is just that....a design blog that's just a little more special...and so are the ladies there.  And as of today....I am one of the Designers! :)  I'm so excited to be participating with such a fun group of ladies to challenge you and give you a little more inspiration.

Be sure to check out the blog here:  FROSTED DESIGNS    I hope you will find some time to do some of the challenges with us! :)

Thanks for sharing my joy with me!

Here's a little something I created this recently.  I sometimes forget to post cards before I send them.  These were done in honor of breast cancer awareness month:

Toot!

It's been a crazy week the past 9 days or so, but good!

I got home last night after a fantastic day with a couple friends visiting a not-so-local Hobby Lobby Grand Opening.  Yep, I managed to snag some great deals.  I got some home decor...funky little birds...a metal tree for my wall.  Now I need to get them where they are destined to go.  I also got a few scrappy supplies of course!  How could I not at 50% off?

Then first thing this morning I saw this blog:  Practical Scrappers   Scroll down to layout #5. :)  I was tickled!

I've got more good news coming in the next fews days, so be sure to check back! :)

How Fun!

It's the little things in life that make me smile.   I was reading blogs and saw this:

on here:  Coordinates Collections Blog Post
I was participating in Coordinates Collections online crop and my layout was featured on their blog.  I was tickled!

Another layout I did for Scrap Attack Scrapbooking's Scrap PINK Crop was featured as Star For a Day yesterday and I was so honored they chose mine.  Here's the link:  Star For a Day.  And a quick peek for those who aren't yet members of the message board:

SAS's Scrap Pink Crop is in honor of October's Breast Cancer awareness month.  Lauri is selling tickets for a raffle basket of amazing scrapbook supplies and 100% (yep, every penny) is going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help find a cure for cancer.  You can get your tickets here:  Raffle Tickets for $1 each.

You can see the amazing $250 raffle basket contents on their blog post here:  Blog Post  There really is a TON of amazing product in there.  If you end up the winner, be sure and let me know.  I so very much want it to be someone I know! :)

I used Echo Park's Life is Good line for both layouts and they came in my Scrapbook Sussies Kit, which is already sold out.  But check them out here because next month is soooooo very cute!!!  It's not up for sale yet, but you won't want to miss November's Kit!

Catching Up

Just a few layouts to share:

This were both made with a Scrapbook Nook monthly mini kit from a cute little store we found in Ludington a few weekends ago.  What a fun place to shop!  She will be online in a few weeks and I will share the link with you then.

This was created using my October Scrapbook Sussies kit that I LOVE!!!

This may conclude my birthday event pages. :)  It's been a lot of fun doing these, but I think I am caught up with the photos finally.

This was a challenge layout that I did at Willowtraders using Bella Blvd's Mid Term collection......I love this collection too! :)

Actions!

So I finally took some time and downloaded and installed some actions.  Totally fun!  It made me want to play with my photos all day long.  Well no time for that right now, but I did practice on one photo...the one I posted yesterday.  I'll show you a couple today and a few more soon.

The first photo is PW Boost x 2, the second is PW Seventies, the last is PW Lovely.  I love how it changes the photo a bit.  What do you think?

A couple more layouts that I did with some Sussie kits:

Both of those layouts were done in a weekend Online Crop at Scraptacular Kit Club & Store.  Have you ever done a weekend Online Crop?  I highly recommend you try it some time....they are super fun and a great way to get motivated to scrap.  There are a lot of different challenges, so you can always find something fun to do!

I won these kits from Scraptacular for participating in the crop:

Aren't they........well, SCRAPTACULAR!?  They are the new October kits and you can get yours here:  SCRAPTACULAR KIT CLUB  I have all sorts of ideas running through my head on what to do with these....did you see all that CRATE PAPER?  And the Jillibean Alpha?  And who (Whooooooo) doesn't love Echo Park?

Be sure to check them out....the prices are fantastic!!!

I am so Blessed!

Sometimes I think I should just change the name of my blog to "I am so Blessed."  I really am.  Daily I am reminded that I am blessed and highly favored by God.  Through friendships.  By my husband.  In where I live.  In the views out my windows.  Over and over throughout the day I am reminded of blessings.

It's been a crazy last couple of weeks.  I've done a lot of fun stuff.  Spent time with friends at birthday dinners, went to a crop weekend (just 3 of us in a beach house...super fun!), celebrated the 20th birthday of my youngest son (no more teens...I 'think' that is a good thing!) and have been crazy busy with appointments, planning, and trying to get all those outdoor things done before it's too cold (which will happen far too soon).

When I went to the birthday dinner it was for a very dear friend.  I've known her for about 25 years and we've been in the habit of celebrating our birthdays for years.  It started as a desparate bit of grown up girl time when our kids were babies and has turned into a very relaxing, comfortable journey of picking up with conversations right where we left off.  Our families are intertwined and while we don't see each other a ton, she's the type of friend that could be called at 3 am in the morning and be over in a second if I needed that.

I took my camera in hopes that I would get a few photos.  One can NEVER have enough photos of the blessings in life, right?

(I'll figure out soon how to blur the background....but the interesting part is that the three cars are mine, Lori & Mary....our trio.)

A few layouts I did using Crate Paper from my Scrapbook Sussies February Kit.  One layout (the double) is from a sketch that I can't give credit to, because I can't find where I printed it from.  The single page layout is a sketch from Inspired to Scrap.
Wishing YOU a very blessed day!!!
